Yuchen WANG
Wang Yuchen graduated from College of William and Mary, USA in 2019. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy, and his M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is also a Canadian Certified Counselor (C.C.C).
Yuchen has worked in various settings as a mental health provider, including addiction treatment centres, LGBT centres, and family and youth service centres, and Raffles Medical Group. He has worked with different groups of people such as teenagers, adults, families, sexual minorities and other cross-cultural groups.
Areas that Yuchen has expertise in include gender diversity issues (coming out, family relations, gender dysphoria, transgender multidisciplinary care, minority identity, intimate relationship, etc), behavioral change (procrastination, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, changing bad habits, etc), addiction issues (alcohol use, gambling, gaming, etc), eating disorders, ADHD as well as general depression and anxiety.
Yuchen specializes in using Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-focused Therapy in sessions. He is experienced in providing individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Yuchen works with clients through both mental level as well as somatic level, helping clients to better understand themselves and achieve mind-body integration.
