Background & Experience
Dr. Stephen-Claude Hyatt is a Jamaican national who has been living and working in Asia since 2006 as a Mental Health Doctor, Clinical Health Psychologist, and Traumatologist. He trained at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, Harvard Medical School, Fielding Graduate University in the USA, and the Wiesbaden Academy of Psychotherapy in Germany. His career spans over two decades, including roles as a Clinical Psychologist at a psychotherapeutic clinic in Jamaica, a member of the Ministry of Education’s trauma response team, and a Lecturer and Course Coordinator for graduate psychology students at the University of the West Indies, where he also taught psychological formulation to medical students. In Beijing, he served with Beijing Vista Clinic before joining International SOS, where he was appointed Head of the Mental Health Department. He remained in this role through the transition to Raffles Medical Group in 2016. He is currently the Managing Partner of CALM International, overseeing organisational operations.
For over 18 years, Dr. Hyatt has partnered with international schools across Asia, offering trauma support, mental health education, student counselling, and psychoeducational assessments. He has advised school leadership on wellbeing systems and delivered educator trainings focused on early intervention and resilience-building. His cross-cultural fluency and deep clinical expertise have made him a trusted partner for international schools, global organisations, and diverse communities.
